Why is it worth skiing?

A love for the mountains, a personalized approach, the joy of skiing, and a sense of responsibility—these are the reasons why it is worth skiing and learning with an instructor.

Why is it worth skiing?

There are as many arguments for skiing as there are skiers. For some, the most important thing is an active lifestyle and staying in shape. Others appreciate that skiing helps tone the body. Still others enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people most of all. Each of these motivations is genuine. Skiing, like any way of spending time in the mountains, defies simple definitions. It is a blend of emotion, art, and technique—and this very principle guides our instructors.

A love for the mountains

Everything that is most beautiful about a downhill ski run is tied to nature. Whoever does not come to love the mountains and strive to understand them will never achieve full mastery over their skis. Anyone who has ever stood on the slopes of Harenda knows this. The scenic runs tempt and invite you to test your abilities, and our instructors help bring skiing dreams to life.

An individual approach

Our lessons and courses are led by experienced instructors who have worked with skiers of all skill levels. On the slopes, every skier is equally important, whether cruising on green runs or testing themselves on black ones. At every stage, there is something to improve or advise on. An individual approach is the cornerstone of effective training, and the most valuable skill you can acquire on the slope is acknowledging your own weaknesses combined with a willingness to improve them.

Winter madness

Even after dozens of runs, you shouldn’t fall into a routine. The simplest slope can punish a good yet overconfident skier. We teach focus, reading the signals from the slope, and applying the technique acquired during training. We show just how wonderful the winter craze can be, and we tailor our teaching methods to connect with every student, regardless of age, capabilities, and skills.

Responsibility

Skiing is full of contradictions. To ski fast, you first need to learn how to brake. Technique alone is only part of a skier’s skill set. The real art lies in knowing your limits and matching ambition with ability. On the slopes, responsibility for yourself and others is what counts. That is precisely why learning under the guidance of an instructor is so important.
